ICGEB has participated in Trieste's fourth edition of European Researchers' Night, featuring public debates, exhibitions, hands-on experiments and games to bring the world of research to the general public.

  • Piazza Unità d'Italia, Stand 4, Paola Massimi of the Tumor Virology Group worked with young students, at a project entitled "Researchers for a day: young researchers grow";
  • Speakers' Corner: Emanuele Buratti, Molecular Pathology, and Bruna Marini, Molecular Medicine, briefly described their life and work, and replied to questions from the public;
  • photos of our researchers at work featured in the exhibition entitled "Around the world in 80 clicks", Sala Umberto Veruda, piazza Piccola 2 (behind Piazza Unità d'Italia)


Trieste NEXT
27-28-29 September 2013

The second edition of Trieste NEXT has taken place on the same weekend, providing an opportunity to meet with researchers from ICGEB to see how they perform DNA extraction using kitchen products and involving members of the general public in carrying out the experiments.

An outstanding scientific and cultural programme, TriesteNEXT hosted events, games, music, activities for children and sports, designed to entertain the public.
